The PRR T1 was the railroad's last bid at high speed steam passenger power. While it was capable of great power and speed, often exceeding 100 miles per hour, it cost too much more to maintain than new diesel-electric locomotives. Although a great favorite with fans of the railroad, none were saved for the railroad's collection of historic equipment.
