GG1 #4935 at Perryville, Maryland
This PRR classic, restored to its classic paint scheme by Amtrak, is leading a fall 1977 excursion off the former PRR Baltimore to Wilmington mainline onto the Conrail Columbia & Port Deposit Branch. The restoration was thanks to an editorial in Trains Magazine by Howard Serig. The article led to formation of "Friends of the GG1" which raised funds for the repainting.
