This view shows the complex bracing of a two-track iron deck bridge at New Brighton, Pa. This structure crosses the Beaver River and the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie into the town of Beaver Falls. New Brighton is on the former Pittsburgh, Ft. Wayne & Chicago. The stiff westbound grades leaving the Ohio Valley begin at New Brighton. This location is a short distance up the east bank of the Beaver River from the Ohio River at Rochester, Pa.
