Broadway Limited in the night
It's late an no one's in the lounge of the "Metropolitan View" as the "Broadway Limited" leaved town one fall night in 1946. Tim Garner made this digital night shot to celebrate the virtual completion of his HO-scale 5-track passenger station. The observation is an Oriental Limited import. Tim bought it second hand already equipped with interior lighting and a "Broadway Limited" drumhead. He replaced the trucks and added interior partitions. The headlight in the distance is Tim's BP20 passenger shark diesel built from a resin kit. The umbrella sheds over the station platforms are lit by 56 grain-of-rice bulbs wired in pairs to reduce brightness and extend bulb life. In his computer, Tim added stars, a wisp of steam, and the red glow of markers on the observation.
